PV Sindhu, Coach Gopichand, and Sindhu’s Parents arrived in Vijayawada a little while. Ministers, MPs, district Olympic Association and Badminton Association people gave her a warm welcome to her in Gannavaram Airport. She was taken to Indira Priyadarshini stadium as a procession on an open-top double-decker bus.

1000s of people and students lined up all along the route. They were literally giving a Guard of Honour for the Champion with their cheers and claps. It was an electrifying experience with the Tricolour flags waving everywhere with ‘Jai Hind’ slogans touching the skies all along the stretch.
A big felicitation program is arranged at the stadium by the state government. The Champion girl will be attending Harathi at Krishna River in the evening. Today happens to be the last day of Krishna Pushkaralu She will be felicitated there as well. Sindhu’s parents are very happy as both the Telugu states are owing their daughter as their child.
