Andhra Pradesh High Court has refused to interfere in the Election Commission’s Orders in the Transfer of Three IPS Officers. After listening to the arguments of both the sides, the high court said it is not the case for Interim Relief and so refused to interfere.
Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu summoned Advocate General Srinivas regarding the case and the Government may appeal this in Supreme Court. Intelligence DG AB Venkateswara Rao, Kadapa SP Rahul Dev Sharma, Srikakulam SP Venkat Ratnam were transferred by the Election Commission after YSR Congress’ Complaint.
The State Government has stopped the Transfer of Intelligence DG AB Venkateswara Rao saying that his post does not come to Election Commission’s Ambit. On the other side, the Election Commission is also pressing for the Transfer of DGP, RP Thakur. They represented the same to the Election Commission the other day.
