YSR Congress is pushing for the disqualification of Andhra Pradesh Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao over his revelation about election expenses. Few days ago, Kodela in a TV interview vented his anger on increasing money role in politics. He went on to say that he had to spend 11 Crore in the last elections and called for people to restrain from accepting money for votes.

Kodela made these comments in the anticipation of clean politics. But YSR Congress is using this as an evidence to get his disqualified. Ambati Rambabu had complained to the State Election Commission over the same. The commission had written a letter to NTV, the channel that telecasted the interview to send them the footage.
In the letter to NTV, State Election Commission urged the channel to send the footage so that it can be forwarded to Central Election Commission in New Delhi. The State Election Commission mode asked NTV to treat the issue as urgent. If Kodela is disqualified, YSR Congress can avenge on him for sitting on the disqualification of their defected MLAs.
