All of India is currently observing a very challenging situation with regard to ongoing youth protest against the NEET mishaps. There is the growing demand for the immediate resignation of education minister, Dharmendra Pradhan that’s catching up all over.
Several parts of Delhi, Punjab, and other states have been witnessing massive protests all over. But it really needs to be said that the Telugu state of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have been very distant.
Chennai had observed a bit of a situation when a protest broke out at the Tamil Nadu Secretariat a couple of days ago. Considering that the Congress is in power in Karnataka is a matter of time before this state also observes an agitation.
But when it comes to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, it needs to be said that there is very little protest activity. There is absolutely no trace of fighting back of any sort against what is happening in the country at this point.
Telangana might be witnessing and inception of this protest activity with chief minister Revanth Reddy, sitting down for a protest against the arrest of Rahul Gandhi in connection with this case earlier. But the gravity of the same will be decided at a later point in time.
Telugu states have historically had a rich legacy of fighting for their cause, including the separatist movements on two different occasions. But when there is a collective cause involved, this fire is missing now.
