Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker Kodela Siva Prasad Rao had hinted about possible shifting of the state Assembly to some location in the 13 districts of residual state. Andhra Pradesh government has already revealed its plan to shift some of its administrative offices to Medha Towers in Gannavaram. Speaking at a private event in Guntur, Kodela revealed that there is a possibility of having the next assembly session in AP.
currently, Andhra Pradesh Assembly is stationed at old Assembly building now belongs to Telangana. AP can use the buildings for the next 10 years during which Hyderabad will be the common capital of both states. But Telangana government is creating all sorts of troubles to Andhra Pradesh stopping them even to carry out minor repairs to the Assembly building saying AP officials are damaging the heritage site.
