AP CID had been under the pump for a while now, over the public outcry that they are acting under the heavy influence of the YCP government. The arrest of Chandrababu was cited as an example of the same.
Now, the latest development is that the AP CID has served a notice to Telugu Desam Party headquarters.
A CID constable reportedly served the notice to the TDP head office and handed over the same to the party representative Ashok Babu a short while ago.
The notice is to exhibit the bank accounts and transactions of the Telugu Desam Party and present the same to AP CID. The CID stated that they need to verify these transactions with regard to the skill case that has been alleged against Chandrababu and assess the donations that came to the party in the recent past.
The CID mentioned that the records should be presented in front of them by the 18th of this month.
It is known that the TDP had already approached the AP High Court, arguing that the AP CID has been intentionally tormenting them with multiple cases. But that didn’t stop CID from serving the notice today.
