The government of India released the list of the states with the highest number of Foreign Direct Investments between October 2019 and June 2022.
This is around the same time when the Government changed in Andhra Pradesh.
During this period, Andhra Pradesh managed to get only 4056.89 Crore worth FDIs. Andhra Pradesh is ranked fourteenth, almost the last of all the progressive states in the country.
Telangana is placed much better in the seventh rank with 29,690.12 Crores of FDIs. Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, and Delhi are ranked in the first four positions.
Andhra Pradesh’s FDIs is only 0.34% of the total FDIs the country has got.
Between 2014-19, Andhra Pradesh has got FDIs worth 58,000 Crores and is ranked in the Top 5 during that time.
This fall is very much expected as the Jagan Government is focused only on freebies and is not bothered about bringing investments and industries to the state.
