The SIT has urged the Court not to grant bail to YSRCP leader Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, calling him a key player in the AP liquor scam. It filed a counter in the ACB Court against both his intermittent and regular bail pleas.
According to SIT, granting bail now would hamper the probe into liquor kickbacks. Chevireddy’s intermittent bail request is scheduled for hearing today, while his regular bail plea will come up on September 2.
Meanwhile, Chevireddy has also sought naturopathy treatment for his back pain. The Court will hear this petition on Tuesday. Earlier, SIT filed a memo alleging that he created trouble during Court appearances and asked to present him virtually.
However, his lawyer submitted a guarantee letter assuring that Chevireddy would not cause problems. The Court then dismissed SIT’s memo.
The Court also adjourned the quash petition of Raj Kasireddy to August 28. Recently, Rs 11 crore was seized from a farmhouse in Hyderabad, reportedly linked to Raj Kasireddy.
