Nandamuri Balakrishna performed bhoomi puja at Amaravati for the Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Institute. He mentioned that although the foundation stone was laid in 2019, the construction could not start due to the previous government.
When someone referred to Hindupur as his adda, Balakrishna responded that all of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh was his adda. He confidently stated that he would win from any constituency he contested, which drew loud cheers from the crowd. Being both a celebrated star and a respected politician, Balakrishna enjoys immense popularity across the Telugu-speaking states.
He expressed gratitude, saying that God was on their side as the programme went smoothly. Basavatarakam, managed by the NTR Trust, is close to his heart, and he personally spends time overseeing the hospital’s operations.
Balakrishna highlighted that his government had implemented several welfare schemes. He added that the alliance government improved the GSDP and per capita income of Andhra Pradesh citizens.
However, he remarked that the state saw a decline between 2019 and 2024. Without naming anyone, he hinted that when the right time comes, action will be taken.
