A few approvals are still pending. These include the aerodrome licence, security clearance, and customs setup. Final finishing work is also underway.

Connectivity is also being improved alongside the airport. Roads linking Visakhapatnam to Bhogapuram are under development. This will make travel easier for passengers.

The project has once again brought political debate into focus. Former Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy had earlier faced criticism over plans for development in this region. Some leaders had questioned the need for an airport.

At that time, critics pointed out the lack of basic transport facilities. They argued that even proper bus services were limited. Now, the same region is set to get a modern international airport.

This shift highlights changing priorities over time. Infrastructure planning has taken a new direction. The project reflects long-term vision and growth potential.

Once operational, the airport is expected to boost regional development. It may improve connectivity and create employment opportunities. Uttarandhra could see faster economic growth.

The Bhogapuram Airport project now stands as a key milestone. It represents progress in infrastructure development. Its impact will become clearer after operations begin.
