A case has been filed against Vidadala Rajini, a YSRCP leader and former minister. The case was registered by Yadlapadu police station in Palnadu district.
The incident took place on January 30, when Vidadala Rajini visited the Yadlapadu temple along with her supporters. During the visit, she reportedly stated that she would purify the temple, which triggered controversy.
The issue comes amid the ongoing debate over the alleged adulterated ghee used in Tirumala. While government officials have claimed the ghee was adulterated, Vidadala Rajini denied the allegation and proceeded with her temple visit.
Her statement and actions created strong resentment among local residents. Many felt the move was inappropriate and provocative, leading to heightened tensions in the area.
Local Telugu Desam Party leaders stopped Rajini from entering the temple. Meanwhile, YSR Congress Party leaders demanded that she be allowed inside.
The situation quickly escalated, prompting police intervention. Officers reached the spot, calmed the YSRCP cadre, and dispersed the crowd to restore order.
Despite the intervention, the Yadlapadu police later filed a case against Vidadala Rajini for allegedly disturbing law and order. Additional cases were registered against 21 YSRCP cadre.
As of now, there has been no official response from Vidadala Rajini regarding the case. Further developments are awaited.
