Kodali Nani started his political career with the Telugu Desam party, but quickly changed his loyalty in 2014 and began abusing Chandrababu and his family members. He does not miss an occasion to use the most vulgar language against Babu.
So there was the constant pressure on Chandrababu to find a strong competitor for Nani from Gudivada consistency, and he appears to have succeeded in the same.
In the previous 2024, election, TDP fielded Venigandla Ramu from the Gudivada constituency to contest against Kodali Nani. This proved to be a very successful decision as Ramu defeated Nani with margin of more than 50,000 votes.
Now in his latest public speech, chief minister, Chandrababu Naidu spoke highly of Ramu and labelled him as a good individual who works with honest intentions. It appeared to be that Chandrababu had full trust in Ramu to continue the good work in the Gudivada constituency.
This could be an indication that Chandrababu is regarding Ramu very highly and could be continuing him for the upcoming elections as well. This TDP MLA has already shown that he can go ahead to head with Nani in financial terms and also verbal capabilities.
This individual had been a firm antagonist for Nani for the last couple of years, and has proved to be loyal for the TDP as well. So there is every chance that he could be given long rope by Chandrababu, who had been in search for a strong opponent for Nani.
If everything goes as planned, Venigandla Ramu could be the permanent opponent for Nani on behalf of Telugu Desam, given that he continues the good work.
