AP’s Biggest Strength: CBN Must Make It Happen!

Chandrababu Naidu at Rampachodavaram tourism visit

Andhra Pradesh might not be big on social infrastructure and IT are yet, but this is work in progress and is bound to develop with companies like Google, Microsoft and IBM coming here.

However, there is a ready to use prospect for Andhra Pradesh, and this is primarily regarding the natural resources that the state has to offer. Yes, we are speaking about the eco tourism aspect of Andhra Pradesh, which is absolutely enormous in volume.

Andhra Pradesh has one of the longest sea lines for any states in India, and on top of that we have insane green pockets across the state. Areas like Araku, Rampachodavaram, Manyam and others have these lush green pockets that can be great for eco tourism.

Interestingly, chief minister Chandrababu Naidu, who happens to be on an official visit to Rampachodavaram, has spoken about the idea of having a world-class tourism hub here. He said this area has 65% green cover and can make for a very precious tourism hub.

This is something that can be executed by a visionary and dedicated CM Chandrababu Naidu, and it is good that he identified the opportunity in the first place.

This generation of the youth is increasingly moving towards nature and greenery and luckily AP has this prospect in abundance. So if the government is dedicated enough and the chief minister is actually looking to put the effort, there is a lot of potential to be had here.

The government had indeed been focusing on green tourism for the last couple of years, but it will all come down to the actual execution. This will include the establishment of luxury resorts and family getaway plans which will be the deciding factors.

The plans to develop shacks at beaches could be the start of something big, and once this is executed successfully, this focus could immediately be shifted to ecological tourism. This is an area with a lot of potential and hopefully it is conquered by the government.

But at the same time, the sustenance aspect must also be kept in mind as these are extremely potent natural pockets. The development must be focused on sustainable practises rather than commercial monetary gains.
