A fascinating blend of heritage and health policy took center stage this morning as Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu launched the “Yogandhra” wellness campaign directly at the historic Undavalli Caves in Guntur district.
Guided by renowned Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev, the high-profile event focused on promoting mental clarity, physical health, and holistic well-being across the state.
The choice of the ancient rock-cut caves as the venue served a dual purpose: honouring the region’s rich cultural roots while highlighting the timeless importance of traditional wellness practices in a rapidly modernising world.
During the session, Baba Ramdev publicly lauded the Chief Minister’s famous personal fitness level and governance vision, framing the wellness initiative as a crucial pillar to build a high-energy, productive workforce.
The campaign aims to integrate yoga and wellness programs into schools, workplaces, and local communities to actively combat stress and lifestyle-related health challenges.
By aligning the state’s public health goals with the national ‘Vikasit Bharat’ objectives, the administration seeks to empower citizens with the physical resilience and mental focus needed to drive economic growth and sustainable development across Andhra Pradesh.
