After a relentless fight over BJP for the last couple of years and a bitter election campaign, Former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had wished Union Home Minister and BJP National President, Amit Shah a little while ago on the occasion of his Birthday today. This is despite the fact that BJP is aggressively poaching TDP leaders and trying to weaken the party.
We are seeing the BJP leaders going ultra-aggressive on TDP leadership on a daily basis. Chandrababu also wished Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday in September. However, TDP leaders say there is nothing to read in these wishes and it is just a formality.
“Chandrababu follows this nice tradition of wishing his political rivals on their Birthdays. We have seen him wishing YS Jagan Mohan Reddy even though the latter curse him all day. There is nothing more than that,” a senior TDP leader told us.
“We do not have any personal rivalry with BJP or Modi or Amit Shah. It is a Political Rivalry that too because BJP went back on all the promises it has made to Andhra Pradesh. We lost politically due to that but thought so be it for the state,” the leader added.
