Rajinikanth’s most anticipated sequel Jailer 2 directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, is gearing up for a worldwide theatrical release on October 15th. With only a few weeks left until the release, the makers of Jailer 2 have started releasing promotional materials from the film.
Starting from September 18th, the makers began releasing character glimpses from the film. So far, the character reveal glimpses of SJ Suryah, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Vidya Balan have been released and are now going viral on social media.
Even though Anirudh Ravichander has proved his potential with these glimpses, following the failure of the first single Ala Bolelo, by delivering three different tracks for each glimpse, many feel that all these glimpses were not up to their expectations and claim that something is missing.
Also, some people, after watching these glimpses, have started commenting that it seems like Jailer 2 has multiple star performers, trolling that even Rajinikanth himself has only done a cameo role in Jailer 2.
Meanwhile, for the Vidya Balan glimpse, many people feel that to elevate an actor, the filmmakers didn’t have any option other than showing them smoking a cigarette. They suggest that the filmmakers should do some creative thinking and bring some new ideas to elevate the actors rather than just showing them smoking.
Although many big names are involved in Jailer 2 and the glimpses of some star performers have been released, the hype meter still hasn’t accelerated and all of them failed to satisfy expectations.
Hence, it remains to be seen whether at least the upcoming promotional materials of Jailer 2 will live up to expectations and boost the much needed hype for the film in the following days.
