Chittoor is considered as TDP‘s weakest district with the ruling party putting special focus on killing the Cycle party in this district.
Recently, during Chandrababu’s visit to the Kuppam constituency, there were clashes between YCP and TDP leaders. But the police registered cases only against several TDP leaders. Former MLC Gounivari Srinivas and seven others were remanded by the Kuppam court. Currently, they are in Chittoor Jail.
Chandrababu has come to the district on Tuesday to visit TDP leaders who were illegally arrested and stationed in Chittoor jail.
The district administration put several conditions in place to foil Chandrababu’s tour. In the name of security, Police did not allow the vehicles of the leaders and cadres.
The DSP also did not allow open-top vehicles for Chandrababu Naidu and Sound vehicles which will ensure that Naidu does not address people.
But then, despite all this, a huge number of cadres arrived at Chittoor Jail not caring about the police restrictions.
After trying to control people initially, the department finally gave up due to the huge influx of TDP cadres.
AP CM Jagan will be visiting Kuppam on September 22nd. Chandrababu made a show of strength two days ahead of it indicating that TDP is up and ready to take the bull by its horns.
