Subsequently, Chandrababu’s lawyer, Siddhartha Luthra, made a mention before the CJI bench. Given Chandrababu’s incarceration, he requested an urgent investigation. However, as Chandrababu’s petition was not on the mention list for the day, the CJI declined to initiate the investigation immediately.

The CJI agreed to consider the mention on Tuesday, and if it gets listed, it will be scheduled for a full hearing. During this interaction, Siddhartha Luthra emphasized that this matter is related to Andhra Pradesh. The CJI inquired about the duration of Chandrababu Naidu’s custody, to which Luthra clarified that he was arrested on the eighth of this month.

If the mention is allowed on Tuesday, it is anticipated that an immediate order may be issued or a date may be set for the full hearing. Nara Lokesh remains in Delhi, where he consults with senior lawyers on the case.
