In what can be termed as a Twist, AICC distanced itself from PCC President Raghuveera Reddy and Congress AP Incharge Oommen Chandy’s Statement of going alone in the upcoming Elections in Andhra Pradesh. AICC Spokesperson Manish Tewari claimed no knowledge of such decision.
“We are aware of the Statement but I am not sure in which context Mr.Chandy made the statement,” Manish Tewari told the Telugu Media Personnel in Delhi. It has to be seen if AICC is trying to reconcile the decision or if there is a communication gap between the high command and the State Unit.
Congress President Rahul Gandhi and TDP Supremo Chandrababu Naidu are meeting frequently these days. After campaigning together in Telangana Elections, Naidu met Rahul Gandhi at least twice in Delhi. Both the sides have maintained that the relationship at the National level will continue despite what happen at the State Level.
