Andhra Pradesh Endowments Minister Vellampalli Srinivas is the latest victim of the State Cabinet to be infected by the Coronavirus. However, officials are now tensed about the safety of Chief Minister, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as he is the primary contact of the Minister.
The Minister was alongside the Chief Minister during the former’s Brahmotsavam visit to Tirumala. The Chief Minister for the most part of the tour was seen without wearing a mask and not following Physical distancing. The Minister started showing symptoms as soon as he is back from Tirumala.
He is admitted to a Private Hospital in Vijayawada and will be flown to Hyderabad if necessary. The officials are likely to conduct a test for the Chief Minister later on in the day. On the other side, the Pandemic is quite serious in Andhra Pradesh as the total number of positive cases in the state is approaching seven lakhs.
YSR Congress Tirupati MP Balli Durga Prasad died of the virus earlier this month.
