Harish Rao’s Jibe at Over-Enthusiastic Jagan

Jagan - Harish RaoTelangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao had rejected the Center’s offer to introduce meters for Agricultural Power Connections in lieu of allowing more loans. At the same time, his Andhra Pradesh Counterpart, Jagan Mohan Reddy took the offer.

Telangana Finance Minister Harish Rao took a jibe at Jagan for this move. “We were given an offer of 2500 Crore and were asked to fix meters for the farmers. We refused because today they will fix the meters and tomorrow they will ask to pay the bills,” Harish Rao said.

“For us, the welfare of the farmers is paramount. At the same time, Andhra Pradesh was given an offer of 4,000 Crore and Over-enthusiastic Jagan readily accepted. For KCR, there is nothing more than the welfare of the farmers in the state,” he added.

Farmers across Andhra Pradesh are worried about this moving getting the meters which they think may be the first move in removing the free electricity for agriculture scheme.
