CRDA building Amaravati inauguration

The Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) headquarters will finally be inaugurated by Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu on October 13. After two postponements, officials have accelerated the final works to meet the deadline.

The inauguration was first scheduled for August 15 and later moved to Dassera. However, continuous rains and quality checks delayed the project further. Officials now confirm October 13 as the final date.

Once operational, the CRDA office will bring together all municipal and HoD offices under one roof to oversee the construction and planning of Amaravati.

The CRDA complex covers 3 lakh square feet, with additional buildings in the area spanning another 1.6 lakh sq ft. The project was originally planned for completion between 2014 and 2019 but was stalled midway.

After returning to power, the Chandrababu Naidu government prioritised the CRDA building, as it will serve as the central hub for monitoring all major development projects in the capital region. The facility will also include a command control room.
