Danam Nagender was a popular politician and swears he is still a popular politician. But the Khairatabad MLA who won on BRS ticket and later jumped into Congress is now a political joke.
Telangana citizens are tired of the N number of times Danam has boasted of resignation. He wad supposed to have appeared before the Speaker on Friday. But he simply didn’t turn up and his lawyers could not show proofs of he not joining the Congress.
On March 2, the Speaker will have a final hearing. Many political observers feel that the Speaker will disqualify Danam. So there is talk doing rounds in BRS and Congress that Danam will resign before being disqualified.
Now, Danam is said to be waiting for a green signal from CM Revanth Reddy who in turn is waiting for signal from the High Command.
Danam not only scrawled into Congress, he also contested in the Secunderabad Parliamentary elections. He lost. He has been talking of resigning and contesting from Khairtabad.
But the issue has been going on for a while without clarity. The Telangana Speaker is neither disqualifying him and neither did Danam resign. Citizens of Telangana are now bored of following the stale story.
And in the process, Danam Nagender is losing credibility.
