A tragic incident took place in Ponnekal, a village in Khammam rural district. Kavya Kalyani, a dancer from a popular television dance show Dhee, died by suicide.
Before taking this extreme step, she recorded a selfie video, naming her partner, Abhilash, as the reason for her decision. The incident came to light late, causing shock among locals and on social media.

In the video, Kavya was seen crying and accusing Abhilash of betrayal. She claimed that he had married her and lived with her for five years but was now preparing to marry another woman.
This video quickly went viral, sparking widespread discussion. Kavya mentioned that Abhilash had been distancing himself from her recently and had completely ignored her after deciding to marry someone else.

Unable to bear the emotional distress, Kavya ended her life by hanging herself from a ceiling fan in her house. Her family members found her and tried to save her, but it was too late. A doctor was called, who confirmed her death.
The police were informed, and they registered a case based on the family’s complaint. Her body was shifted to the Khammam government hospital for further procedures.
