The other day, speaking to the media, Chandrababu Naidu hinted at an early election in December for Andhra Pradesh. This is the first time Chandrababu spoke about an early election in the state.
This statement of Naidu has come a day after his visit to Delhi. He was seen in a deep discussion with BJP President JP Nadda at NTR’s 100 Rupees coin launch at Rashtrapathi Bhavan.
There is some more to this assumption. Almost at the same time, Union Minister Anurag Thakur announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had decided to decrease the price of Domestic LPG cylinders by Rs 200 as a gift to women for Onam and Rakshabandhan.
That indicates the Modi Government is already in an Election mood and probably, and that’s why we have been seeing rumors about early elections to the Parliament in the National Media for the last few days.
If at all, the Modi Government goes for an early election, there is no way Jagan will have the courage to wait until Summer next year.
But then, this is not good news for the Opposition in AP. Early election means very little time for preparation. Also, the opposition could not even arrive at a clarity on the alliances so far.
