Andhra Pradesh BJP Leaders are often critical on the TDP Government for Overriding Airports Authority of India (AAI) from the Tenders for the proposed Bhogapuram Aerotropolis project giving the Tender to a Private Player. They allege that the State Government has canceled the tenders as they do not get kickbacks from the Government Agency.

But if that is true, BJP led Central Government is moving towards the Privatization of Six Airport taking it away from AAI. The ones chosen for operation, management, and development through a public-private partnership (PPP) model are Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Mangaluru, Thiruvananthapuram, and Guwahati.
The Central Government says that after the modernization of airports in Delhi and Mumbai through the PPP model, they saw a great improvement in the quality of the airports and the increased flow of Tourists. Hence taking the route of Privatization. But then, while the State Government made a similar claim, the BJP leaders refused to buy the argument.
After the Privatization, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) will hold a minor stake, just like it does at the Delhi and Mumbai airports. The private player will hold at least 75 percent stake. We will have to see if the BJP Leaders will take back their allegations on the TDP Government or say their own government at the center is also resorting to Corruption.
