The figure simply put is $90 million. That may or may not be big money for Elon Musk. Reports suggest that Musk has ousted four top executives which will cost Twitter a whopping $90 million (Rs. 7,415,622,000 INR) in payouts.
According to Equilar, Twitter’s exiting CEO and Indian-origin techie Parag Agarwal will be taking home $42 million as he has been terminated within 12 months of a change in control at the social media company. Incidentally, Agarwal’s total compensation for 2021 was $30.4 million, most of which was stock awards.
Meanwhile, CEO Segal will be paid $25.4 million for getting fired. Legal head Gadde will get $12.5 million and Sarah Personette, the chief customer officer will be getting $11.2 million.
The new owner of Twitter made a huge splash across the world today when he literally walked into his newly bought office with a sink in his hand. His point was to put forth that he was the ‘boss’ and he wanted one and all to understand that.
Right at the beginning, Musk has made it clear that it is he who makes decisions at his new pet venture, which he intends to promote as a market square where people can talk things out without resorting to violence.
