Janasena President Pawan Kalyan is contesting from Pithapuram, East Godavari in this election.
Pithapuram is a Kapu community-dominated constituency, Pawan Kalyan’s popularity and TDP votes will also add to the Janasenani’s tally making his victory a sure thing.
The massive crowd at Pawan Kalyan’s rally indicated the same.
Jagan Mohan Reddy deployed all his resources to defeat Pawan Kalyan at any cost there. Jagan believes one more loss and Pawan Kalyan’s political career is finished.
Meanwhile, there is an image doing rounds on social media. It says there are two more Pawan Kalyans in Pithapuram contesting with similar surnames and symbols to create confusion in the voters.
There are chances of similar names and symbols creating confusion in the voters, especially the senior citizen voters.
In the Telangana elections, the Chapati roller and stick and Road Roller symbols which appear similar to the car symbol of the BRS got a significant number of votes due to the symbol confusion.
But then, this is not true. So far nineteen nominations have been filed in Pithapuram and there is only one Pawan Kalyan so far.
Pawan Kalyan himself filed four sets of nominations to avoid any discrepancies and rejection on technical grounds knowing about the YSR Congress.
Today is the last day of nominations. There is a chance YSR Congress can add a new Pawan Kalyan but as of now, there is only one Pawan Kalyan.
