
In the second phase of land acquisition for Phase II project of Amaravati, the government would be land pooling 40-45,000 acres of land, revealed MAUD Minister Narayana.
He clarified that the same rules that were applicable for 217 sq km land pooling will be applicable for the second phase. The land was needed for 5000 acre airport, 2500 acre for smart industries and 2500 acre sports city.

Narayana divulged that they gathered public opinion through local MLAs whether to go for land pooling or land acquisition.
The farmers were willing to give 28,000 acres in Pedakurapadu constituency and 12,000 acres across three villages in Thadikonda constituency. In all, they were willing to give 38,000 acres, he said.

Developed plots will be given to these farmers in three years, the Minister shared. On Monday, the CM Chandrababu held a CRDA review meeting. MAUD Minister shared the details during a press meet.
Minister revealed that the Authority decided to give discounts in registration fee for education and health institutions.

The Minister further shared that after giving back developed plots to farmers, CRDA will be left with 25% land. Hence, pooling in 40,000 acres is vital, he said.
For better investments, Amaravati needs an international airport and 5000 acres will be alloted for it, said Narayana.
Next point was regarding sports city capable of holding Olympics. Land next to Hyderabad-Machilipatnam highway is being considered, shared the Minister.
Amaravati will be completed in four years on the higher side, said Narayana adding that with smart industries, the land value of farmers will grow many folds.
Tenders for Secretariat and Towers costing Rs 3673.44 crore have been finalised by the Authority, disclosed Narayana.
Then Narayana spoke about development of infrastructure. He said everything was finalised with Singapore companies. But the YSRCP government scared them to the extent that they are not sure about coming back. If they don’t come, we will look for an alternative, said Narayana.
Finally, Narayana clarified about the fixing of rate for sq ft. He said a committee of 23 CEs decided the rate and added that Jagan was making baseless claims.
