Hyderabad High Court had given some sort of respite for Union Minister Sujana Chowdary. The court slashed the non-bailable warrant issued against him by Nampally Court few days ago. Sujana’s lawyers informed the court that they fully trust the courts and explained how he could not attend the court proceedings due to other commitment.

The high court got convinced and slashed the Nampally Court’s arrest warrant and also instructed Sujana to co-operate with the investigation. The case is filed by the Mauritius Commercial Bank alleging that Sujana’s company has defaulted on re-payment of a 106 crore loan. Sujana Chowdary clarified that he or his company did not take any loan from the Mauritius Bank but only stood as a guarantor for another company’s loan.
The Union Minister also said that he is just the founder of the company and holds less than 1% shares in the company that took the loan. In the wake of all this mess, TDP may not renew his Rajya Sabha membership. Sujana’s Rajya Sabha term is going to expire by this May.
