A firing incident at the Khazana jewellery store in Chandanagar has shocked the citizens of Hyderabad. The shooting, which took place in broad daylight, quickly went viral on social media.
According to reports, six masked robbers entered the store while the staff tried to stop them. The robbers fired two rounds, creating panic among the employees. They first shot at the CCTV cameras and then targeted the deputy manager when the staff refused to hand over the keys.
The robbers attempted to break open the display stalls to take jewellery. In the few minutes they were inside, they managed to grab around one kilogram of silver.
The staff immediately alerted the police, who reached the spot quickly. On seeing the police, the robbers fled towards Zaheerabad. Police have formed ten special teams to track them down.
Chandanagar police are investigating the case. The incident has raised concerns about security at jewellery stores, especially in busy and densely populated areas like Chandanagar. The fact that such a crime could be carried out in broad daylight has left many residents frightened.
