Gang Arrested in Kukatpally With Rs 2 Crore Drugs

SOT police have arrested a drug peddling gang within the limits of Kukatpally police station. The gang that is originally from Addanki in Andhra Pradesh, were selling drugs in Kukatpally’s Vivekananda Nagar Colony.

The police acted on reliable information and arrested five members of the gang. They seized 800 gm of ephedrine (a performance enhancing drug), heroine, 5 mobile phones and Rs 50,000 cash. The drugs are said to be worth approximately Rs 2 crore.

It has been found that a constable from Tirupati is also part of the gang. However, he is absconding.

The drug menace has increased in both the Telugu states. Despite Narcotics department busting gangs, the peddlers are increasing by the day due to the lure of big money.

From celebrities to students to youth, the drug menace has spread into all sections of the society and the gangs are taking advantage of this weakness.




Despite awareness and rehabilitation programmes by the police, drugs have become a menace in Telugu states!
