The power of this generation of youngsters in India who happen to be labelled as the Gen Z has been extremely potent and they channelled this into this into the right mechanism with the students protest in Delhi.
The Modi government at the Centre got to learn the power of this generation in the hard way as they were submitted into getting education minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigned his position.
At first, the government was extremely persistent with this education minister, and they did not care to get him removed from the position, despite all the protest that was happening in Jantar Mantar.
But this student, protest and subsequent movement prove to be too much to handle for the government, and also the education minister himself. So he had to step down from the post and issue a public statement where he praised the youth and called them the future of the country.
Any government across the globe, which has messed with the youth of the country have failed miserably, and the repercussions were extremely severe. The BJP government was lucky that something of this scale did not happen in the last decade and half in India.
However, things are changing very quickly, and the youth are taking increasingly to the streets which is a good sign socially. So the government needs to be extremely careful when it comes to implementation of their policies from now on as reckless approach could be leading to severe abnormalities.
