Reports are emerging that Nalgonda MP Gutta Sukhender Reddy submitted his resignation from the Lok Sabha to TRS president and chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Thursday. He will be appointed as state-level Farmer Coordination Committee, a cabinet minister-rank post.

Once the appointment is official, he would be holding an office of profit and hence cannot continue to be an MP. KCR will soon forward the resignation letter to the Lok Sabha Speaker and start the process for the holding a bypoll.
That will mean that Telangana will witness a bypoll in the next six months and it would a practice match for all the political parties before the big finale in 2019. This is the best bet for Congress as Nalgonda is traditionally its stronghold.
