Vijayashanti has become a hot topic for conversation among Telangana Congress political circles. Her name among the MLC nominees without consulting the Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has already given rise to many rumours.
The entire Congress cadre is surprised by the way Vijayashanti bounced back into mainstream politics. It has to be recollected that Vijayashanti joined the Congress prior to the elections and became quite active. She campaigned for the party tirelessly.

We have already reported that the Telangana Congress leaders did not suggest her name as MLC candidate. She has been chosen for MLC nomination due to a pre-poll promise.
Now it is being said that when Revanth Reddy goes for cabinet expansion, Vijayashanti is sure to get a berth. Currently, there are 6 vacancies in the cabinet. Revanth Reddy has retained home and education portfolios with him.

Already there is a long list of aspirants. But the talk is rife that Vijayashanti will be made the home minister. As KCR is getting ready to return to active politics, the party needs a firebrand like Vijayashanti feels the High Command, say party insiders.
