Social media is imposing a negative influence on young people in numerous ways. One such disturbing incident occurred in Hyderabad’s Pragathi Nagar, where a group of young friends was involved in the killing of an individual and subsequently shared a video of the act on Instagram.
Getting into details, a 21-year-old named Tejas, also known as Siddhu, was a resident of Dasaram Basthi in SR Nagar. He was A3 in a murder case last year and had been arrested. He was released from jail two months ago.
After his release, Siddhu shifted to a rented house in Pragathi Nagar with his mother. On a Sunday night, while Siddhu’s mother was away in her hometown, Siddhu partied along with his friends Mahesh, Shivappa, and Sameer.
After the party, Siddhu went to Bathukamma Ghat in Pragathi Nagar around 03:30 AM. While he was standing near the ghat, a group attacked him with daggers, resulting in his death. They are friends of the individual who Siddhu killed. Shockingly, the murderers recorded a selfie video of the murder and shared it on Instagram.
Kukatpally ACP K. Srinivasa Rao and Bachupally CI Upendra Yadav visited the scene of the incident and registered a case. Three suspects have been arrested and are currently undergoing interrogation.
