BRS MLA Palla Rajeshwar Reddy

The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring and Protection Agency (HYDRAA) has been making waves across Telangana with its series of demolitions of illegal structures, causing tension among several prominent personalities in the state.

Many industrialists and politicians are now under HYDRAA’s radar, fearing that their properties that are built illegally by encroaching on lakes or grabbing others’ land might be next on HYDRAA’s list.

One of the prominent leaders who has been in the news for the last few days for his alleged illegal constructions is senior BRS leader and Jangaon MLA, Palla Rajeshwar Reddy.

Just a few days ago, an FIR was lodged against Rajeshwar Reddy, accusing him of constructing Anurag University within the buffer zone of a lake in Venkatapuram, located in the Medchal Malkajgiri district.

However, Palla denied the allegations and asserted that his educational institutions were constructed legally by securing necessary permissions from the authorities.

Adding to the controversy, protests erupted today at Rajeshwar Reddy’s other property, Neelima Medical College, which is situated near Anurag University.

Protesters alleged that Rajeshwar Reddy illegally seized their 4.5 acres of land under the name of Gayatri Educational Trust. They further demanded the demolition of the college.

While they were talking to the media, Rajeshwar Reddy’s associates tried stopping them. As a result, a fight broke out between the two groups, resulting in a tense atmosphere. Later, both groups filed cases against each other at the local police station.

With these constant allegations of illegally constructing educational institutions, the public is wondering whether Palla landed in trouble due to the attacks of HYDRAA.
