Following the commercial success of Maaman, actor Soori is all set to return with his next release, which is Mandaadi directed by Mathimaran Pugazhendhi and it is gearing up for a worldwide theatrical release on 10th September.
With only a few days left until the release, the Mandaadi team has now started promoting the film by participating in events and giving interviews. In one such interview, actor Soori shared a tragic incident that happened to him during the shoot of a big hero’s film in the past, when he was struggling for a breakthrough and it is now going viral on social media.
Actor Soori stated that he was once called for a combination scene in a big star’s film. After the scene was shot with him, the hero and director reportedly watched the footage on the monitor. He claimed that they then asked him to remove his shirt and give it to another person who had apparently come through a recommendation.
Furthermore, he said the shirt was his own, but it was taken away and thrown onto a costume vehicle. He recalled having to search for his shirt while standing with only a towel covering him.
He described the incident as one of the most humiliating and mentally painful experiences of his film career, claiming that it remains an unforgettable memory from his journey in cinema.
Also, he mentioned that the director and the producer of that film have appreciated him for his work recently. However, he noted that they have forgotten that incident and whenever they appreciate him, it makes him feel proud that he has achieved great things in his career.
In response to these comments from Soori, while some people feel this clearly shows Soori’s hard work and claim that his transformation feels inspiring, others are sharing negative responses.
They note that after becoming a lead actor, whenever Soori gives an interview for his film, he keeps sharing such sad stories from his past and they feel every successful person has a tragic past.
Therefore, they suggest that even though Soori’s intention was just to share those incidents to let people know his past struggles, it might project a wrong impression to the public that he is trying to gain sympathy by continuously speaking about them.
