From Rocky Bhai to Raya, Yash has delivered a bona fide disaster with Toxic. The fears raised by the trailer have come true, and there is now little debate about the film’s fate.
The result must be deeply disappointing for Yash, who spent four years on the film and invested himself completely, both as an actor and financially. However, while audiences have brutally rejected Toxic, Yash himself has largely escaped the negativity. His commitment, screen presence, and hard work are still being appreciated.
That is what separates Toxic from disasters like The Raja Saab, where Prabhas also became a major target of trolling. Toxic failed, but Yash’s image did not take an equally damaging hit.
More importantly, Yash already has Ramayana lined up. Despite Ranbir Kapoor playing Lord Rama, the recent glimpse suggests Yash’s Raavan could become the film’s biggest talking point.
After the ultra-stylish excess of Toxic, appearing in a devotional epic like Ramayana offers the perfect contrast. If the film delivers and Yash steals the spotlight as Raavan, he could make one of the quickest comebacks after a massive pan-India disaster.
Hopefully, Yash strikes back strongly as Raavan.
