There are a few excel sheets doing rounds in the social media claiming to be the Intelligence Reports of Nandhyal By-Elections. The Excel sheets carry the logo of Andhra Pradesh Government and give YSR Congress a clear edge in the election.

Some suspect that punters are intentionally circulating these fake reports to make money. While we can not decide who is the winner at this stage, we tried to touch base a retired official in Intelligence Wing about this.
“Governments occasionally use Intelligence wings to know the mood of the people. These are all unofficial works. Officials will report about it directly to the CM and there is going to be nothing on paper. The reports circulating on Whatsapp are false. No officer give such reports on department letter heads,” the official said.
