Trailer Talk: PC’s Comeback or Netflix Disaster Trilogy?

Parineeti Chopra in Shaque Netflix thriller

The trailer for Shaque: Trust No One is out now. Reported to be a psychological mystery crime thriller, the show features Parineeti Chopra in the lead role and is scheduled for release on September 24, 2026.

Shaque brings a story that people have seen many times in the past. A newborn baby is kidnapped from the hospital while her mother is asleep, and the mother embarks on a mission to find her. The trailer clearly reveals the story here, which means that, as an audience, no one has to predict anything about what is happening.

But there is a psychological angle to it. Parineeti can be heard saying that she had an episode of something, which is clearly a mental health issue. She is refusing to take medicines, and she is having very weird hallucinations.

All of these will be covered in multiple episodes, leading to the answer about who the kidnapper is, or whether everything is the lead character’s imagination or there is some other conspiracy behind it.

The suspense revealed at the end of such shows is always unpredictable. The makers have cast some talented faces, including Tahir Raj Bhasin and Jennifer Winget. However, it has to be seen how their characters have been written and whether they will manage to leave an impression.

As of now, it looks like Parineeti will get something unique to play here after a long time. While the actress has been struggling at the big screen for the last few years, it seems like OTT is the perfect platform where she would get to explore something that movie directors never did.

The trailer has indicated a lot of thrill in terms of the storyline, as we get to see cops investigating the case, Parineeti chasing the kidnapper, and mistaking someone else’s child for her own. There are many things that look interesting in the trailer. But the real question is whether those thrilling moments will remain for each second on screen throughout multiple episodes.

After the underwhelming response to Ikka and Gandhari, netizens believe that Shaque is something that might turn out to be engaging in some way. However, concerns remain about whether it will lead to a disaster trilogy on Netflix with Ikka and Gandhari. Let’s wait and see.
