Koratala Siva is known for building films around powerful characters, strong conflicts and social themes. But his next film NBK112 with Balakrishna appears to be taking him into a very different zone. The director is reportedly preparing a much bigger action-driven film, with large-scale sequences playing a huge role in the story.
The interesting part is that this is not simply a regular Koratala film with a few mass fights added for Balayya. The action is said to be one of the main attractions of the script. Balakrishna is also reportedly impressed with the action portions, which has increased expectations around this combination.
But there is one big problem that Koratala cannot ignore. Balakrishna recently suffered an injury during the shooting of Gopichand Malineni’s Dada and underwent an operation. He is currently getting some rest, with doctors advising him to avoid heavy physical strain and action for some time.
However, Balakrishna is known for performing his own action scenes whenever possible. He is not someone who easily prefers to leave highlight sequences entirely to a body double. This time this attitude could create a practical problem. If Koratala wants continuous action and Balayya wants to perform it himself, the director will have to design the film around the actor’s physical limitations.
Reports also suggest that Balakrishna may have to give around three and a half months of dates with no breaks, with the team looking to begin the shoot in October.
Now Koratala’s real challenge is not just making the action bigger. It is making it bigger without risking the star beyond what his body can handle. That could define how successfully this unusual Koratala-Balayya combination takes shape.
