One major miscalculation from KTR where he asked protestors not to bring CBN arrest topic in Telangana and instead go to AP, backfired, and BRS is having to cover up the same now.
KTR himself said he should’ve been more sensible while commenting on the topic and said his intention is not to downplay the movement or undermine CBN.
Now, Harish Rao was asked about the same as he sat for an interview with a TV channel. He was asked “BRS had to clarify KTR’s comment multiple times. You clearly said you didn’t mean to undermine CBN. Does this mean BRS is so very scared of the CBN effect that you feel touching this topic can hurt settler voters and in turn hurt your party in elections?”.
Harish Rao replied “BRS leaders, including myself and KTR have already condemned the arrest of CBN. It wasn’t carried out in the right manner. KTR’s comment was only such that we can’t let other state politics damage the IT image of Hyderabad”.
The backtracking and patch up works commissioned by BRS after the CBN comment imply that the party is indeed concerned about hurting CBN and TDP loyalists ahead of TDP polls, an observer commented.
