Former Chief Secretary of Andhra Pradesh, IYR Krishna Rao joined BJP in the presence of BJP President, Amit Shah the other day. We are told that BJP is planning to field him for Vishakapatnam Parliament in the place of sitting MP Haribabu.

Haribabu is being sidelined with the promise of nominating to Rajya Sabha later on. IYR Krishna Rao who was also made the Brahmin Corporation Chairman by Chandrababu Naidu after his retirement turned against TDP and started making a scathing attack on various issues.
But then, there is a lot of anti-incumbency on BJP in Vishakapatnam especially after failing to grand the Special Railway Zone and so, analysts say it may be difficult for the party even to retain the deposit. IYR Krishna Rao has been actively fanning issues like Discrimination towards Uttarandhra and Amaravati.
While there is the benefit of a doubt for IYR’s allegations previously, his joining BJP makes it pretty much evident that it is all a part of the game to corner the TDP Government by the forces in Delhi to muzzle Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
