A story of Reuters about Kia Motors shifting its base from Anantapur to Tamil Nadu rocked the Parliament as well when TDP MPs raked the issue. YSRCP MP Midhun Reddy clarified that the reports are false and Kia is not going anywhere.
It would have been good if he stopped there but Midhun Reddy went on to say that the previous TDP regime tried to give 1000 Crore worth land to a Dummy Company called Franklin Temple Town (He actually meant Franklin Templeton). It has become a huge discussion about how Midhun Reddy did not even have knowledge of a Globally reputed firm like Franklin Templeton.
Now, cornering YSR Congress further, TDP MLC Nara Lokesh posted Jagan‘s 2019 Election Affidavit in which it was mentioned that the Chief Minister has invested 9 Crore through Franklin Templeton. Lokesh questioned if Franklin Templeton is a dummy company of Chandrababu, why Jagan has invested in the company.
This will be an embarrassing situation for the Ruling Party.
