Former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, YS Jagan created an image for himself by going on these political trips in the name of Yatras. The most successful are obviously, Odarpu Yatra and Praja Sankalpa Yatra before 2019.
Whatever might be the public opinion on these political tours, Jagan was very persistent with the same, and they eventually paid results for him.
And now, Jagan is back on this Yatra proposition, but for all the wrong reasons nevertheless. He has started to visit the jails across Andhra Pradesh to meet arrested YSR Congress leaders who are facing corrective measures.
Now Jagan is back on the same route as he is going to meet his former cabinet minister Sidiri Appalraju who had been arrested for trying to escape his son in a bike accident murder case. He was arrested last week over the highly controversial murder case.
But again, this has warned something interesting as Jagan is stepping out for this particular former cabinet minister, who is currently in jail for trying to erase a murder case in the first place.
Jagan might have his political reasons to support these individuals but at a human and legality level, they’re in the wrong and are serving jail term for obvious reasons.
The likes of Vallabhaneni Vamsi, Ambati Rambabu, Kakani Govardhan, Jogi Ramesh, Pinnelli Ramakrishna Reddy and others had done the same. And Jagan happened to visit every single one of them in the jail. Now he is doing it all over again for AppalaRaju.
