YS Jagan has started this new narrative after losing power in Andhra Pradesh in 2024, as he has started to claim credit for some of the public administrative and development activities.
Jagan has now set his focus on the upcoming Bogapuram airport, which is going to be greatly launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 1. Just a couple of days before the big ceremony, Jagan has put out a social media message where he tried to claim credit for the same.
Jagan tweeted “a project built by one, but claimed by another, that’s the story of Bhogapuram Airport. The Work was done by YSRCP. The publicity belongs to Chandrababu!

The former CM added “ from signing the concession agreement with GMR in June 2020 for the construction of the airport, to land acquisition, and financial closure, every critical process was completed during our government’s tenure.”
This project was originally initiated back when Chandrababu was the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh and this was before the 2019 election itself. And now this project is fittingly completed by Chandrababu in 2026.
But this is not stopping from Jagan trying to claim the credit for this hallmark project. This is strange in many ways as Chandrababu was the one who initiated the project and completing it now after years of effort.
