Meanwhile, TDP leaders say Jagan’s Vinukonda visit is to skip the court hearing today.

Former Minister N Amarnath Reddy took to X and wrote that the Vinukonda visit is timed in a way that avoids Jagan from attending the NIA Court hearing in Vishakapatnam.

Ever since 2019, Jagan has been avoiding all the court hearings in his CBI and ED cases and also the Kodi Kathi Case citing his busy schedule as the Chief Minister.

His lawyers have been filing absent petitions every time citing one reason or the other.

In 2020, the Court refused a blanket exemption from court appearances for Jagan in his disproportionate assets. However, the CBI court is granting him a weekly exemption.

In Kodi Kathi case, the accused was granted bail as Jagan refused to turn up in the court and give his statement. The accused already spent more than five years in jail in a case where the NIA had reached a conclusion that there was no criminal conspiracy involved.

Meanwhile, the accused Srinivas attended the court hearing today in Vishakapatnam. The next hearing of the case was posted to August 16th.
