According to the norms of Assembly, every MLA should submit their assets list every year. However Andhra Pradesh Speaker’s office said that several MLAs are not taking this rule seriously.

The speakers office said that Leader of Opposition, YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and 14 Ministers in Chandrababu Naidu’s cabinet are yet to submit their assets list. Naidu’s cabinet has 19 Ministers which means only five of them submitted their lists.
Jagan not disclosing his assets list may not have anything to do with his illegal assets case as this submission to the Speaker will be a mere formality. Jagan most likely will submit the assets list which he submitted to Election Commission while filing his nomination.
