The election fever is well and truly catching up in Andhra Pradesh. Both YCP and TDP are planing to roll out the primary list of MLA candidates not too far from now.
In this context, an interesting report pertaining to the policial climate in Kadapa district is implying that Dushyant Reddy, a businessman, and also a close friend of YS Jagan is set to make his political debut very soon.
Dushyant Reddy was given the Jammalamadugu YCP observer post in 2019 and it was about time that he made his political debut. Being a close friend of Jagan, and also a distant relative of the YCP chief is helping his cause.
Apparently, Dushyant could be fielded from an MLA constituency in the Kadapa district in the coming elections. Jagan is working on delivering a safe launchpad for his friend, say reports.
Two MLA constituencies in Kadapa are said to be in contemplation for Dushyant’s debut, say reports. One of the them could be finalized soon and an announcement will follow after that.
Kadapa is a stronghold for Jagan and there is no place for hiccups here. He will have to let go of one of his sitting MLAs to accommodate Dushant here. Which constituency will that be? We shall want and see.
